Artist's Comments

Fourteen cellshaded pictuer and I think this one looks a lot cleaner than the last few. Been trying to work with a few new techniques.

Last picture I have coloured for now but two more pictures are inked and a third sketched. Should have those finished soon.

I will admit, Luc's a poké who can be one badass motherf***er, but can successfully pull off being very fat. (Unlike Mewtwo, who IS a badass motherf***er but can't successfully pull off being fat to any degree (as well he shouldn't, 'cuz you just don't mess with Mewtwo).) Though that chest spike makes things interesting...

Inter...um...use other words, FT...Nice pose!

I'm a fan of fatfur. Warning there. I'm a fan of Pokémon. Insult and be skooshed. I'm okay with Pokémon inflation...but I withdraw into a sad, sad place if I should ever see a fat Mewtwo picture. :(

Wow, I must admit, that's actually rather hot, especially love the squishiness and flab to this. Though, if anything, I think the cheeks could stand to be emphasized more, and the eyes seem rather huge. One good way to remember how big to make the eyes is to space them evenly. Proper cropping would do good to relinquish the negative space as well.

Other than that, it's really well done.

What's this? Actual constructive criticism? On an art site? Well, that's a most pleasant surprise!

Not to sound like I'm making excuses but it's a habit of mine, I think, to give my cartoons large eyes. I don't want to sound like one of those people who yells "It's not a mistake, it's my style! Leave off!" but generally I do kinda draw large eyes. I must confess, I'm not entirely sure how to decently emphasise the cheeks though and, likewise, I'm fairly inexperienced with cropping - though I can attempt to fix the latter right now.

One way I found is to keep the eyes one eye width apart from each other. Though, ever since my style evolved, it looks odd when I see them closer than that, and makes them see them as too big. It's definitely my point of view, though.

As for cropping, I'd say get it a few pixels away from the general lineart, and capture at least everything that needs to be seen. It's not terrible, but it does look unbalanced without some proper cropping. It's a nitpick of mine, so excuse me.

As for the cheeks, well, I don't exactly know what I can say about that for your style, but I'd bring up the facial features a bit and make a nice, sagging double chin for cheeks to rest on. It looks fine how it is, I'm just picky about what I like. lol
